Messenger Radio Carrier

The Messenger Radio Carrier series contains all of the following features throughout the different models we support. The Messenger is a two piece Kydex carrier designed to protect your radio in every way possible. Featuring a "hot-mic" proof design you will never worry about hitting buttons unintentionally. Built with every thought of  weather conditions in mind, this carrier has a quick drain structure and drains one gallon of water in 1.5 seconds, just in case you decide to go snorkeling. While providing a strong structure the carrier allows you to drop your radio in, unmodified (except removal of the belt clip) adjust the retention as desired and be on your way.

    Messenger Radio carrier

I received my radio carrier in a timely manner. It appears to be well constructed and holds my Motorola APX 7000 with no issues. I would recommend MC Custom kydex for their products!

    General Review

Posted by Charles on Oct 7th 2020

After having the holster for a few days, here is what I think..
I think the kydex is too thin for serious use. I would really like to see a thicker kydex.

The drop in from the top design makes it impossible to use with a wired system using a remote antenna, and be able to change channels efficiently and keep your wires tight and tucked.

It would be good if it had more adjustment. to keep it from slipping up and down in the holster.

All in all, it's better than clipping your radio to your vest. I think it will work fine if you want to organize your carrier and keep your radio from getting pummeled. I wouldn't expect it to hold up to serious training, but for weekend airsoft it should work great.
